Age of Ascent — Whitepaper

1. Overview

Age of Ascent is a multi-phase NFT ecosystem built around four interconnected relic lines and a unified character collection of 1,111 souls. Each phase expands the power scale and deepens the competitive hierarchy of the world.

The four mint phases are:

All phases belong to a single on-chain collection. This ensures holder detection is straightforward, rarity economics stay unified, and future gameplay or utility can reference one canonical collection.

2. Mint Phases

2.1 Phase I — Characters (Main Collection, 1,111 Supply)

The character collection is the core cast of Age of Ascent. Each character belongs to a faction and carries a rarity rank that directly influences the climb toward Godhood.

Character rarities:

This phase establishes the base identity and long-term avatar of every holder. Legendary characters are the hardest gate in the Godhood path and are intentionally limited.

2.2 Phase II — Weapons

Weapon NFTs represent offensive dominance and are essential for completing the Weapon slot in the God Set.

Weapon tiers:

Apex Weapons are the highest tier and are required for the Weapon slot in The Gods system.

2.3 Phase III — Fruits

Fruit NFTs represent transformative power and higher-order abilities within the AoA world. They are the key ingredient for the Fruit slot in a God Set.

Fruit tiers:

God-tire Fruits are the highest tier and are required for the Fruit slot in The Gods system.

2.4 Phase IV — Abilities

Ability NFTs are the final layer of the power structure. They represent core Strength Abilities such as Beast Spirit, Shadow Veil, and others.

Any Ability is sufficient for the Ability slot in The Gods system. This phase completes the progression and allows God Sets to be finished.

3. The Gods System

The Gods are the highest-ranking holders in Age of Ascent. A wallet becomes one of The Gods by holding a complete God Set inside a single address.

To achieve Godhood, a holder must own all of the following at the same time:

All four items must be present in one wallet simultaneously. The AoA dashboard automatically detects when all slots are filled and marks the wallet as a God. If any piece is sold or transferred, the God status is lost until the full set is reassembled.

4. Ranking System

The Gods ranking is time-based. It is not about who has the rarest set; it is about who can hold the God title the longest without breaking their set.

When a wallet completes all four required items, a timer starts for that wallet. The timer tracks God Time — the cumulative duration for which the wallet continuously holds a valid God Set.

Ranking rules:

In simple terms: the wallets that hold the God status for the longest total time sit at the top of the Hall of Ascension.

The very first wallet to ever complete a valid God Set is recognized as the First God, but ranking over the long term is driven by how long a wallet is willing to hold onto Godhood.

5. Rewards System

5.1 Time-Weighted Percentage Rewards

Wallets that hold a complete God Set are eligible for ongoing percentage-based rewards from the ecosystem. The rewards are time-weighted: the longer a wallet maintains active God status, the higher its effective share in the distribution.

Intended reward sources include:

Conceptual split:

If a wallet breaks the set (sells or moves out any required NFT), its God Time stops increasing and the wallet stops receiving active rewards until it regains God status.

5.2 First God Bonus

The first wallet to complete the full God Set receives a permanent bonus, separate from the time-based ranking:

The First God bonus is a one-time historical advantage; the ongoing ranking and rewards remain driven primarily by accumulated God Time.

5.3 Seasonal Challenges

Seasonal content can be introduced to keep competition active around God Time and encourage both new and existing holders to pursue Godhood:

Seasonal systems allow non-God holders to climb toward Godhood and introduce new strategic decisions for current Gods about when to hold, upgrade, or rebalance their sets.

6. Holder Value Structure

6.1 Unified Collection Design

All four phases—Characters, Weapons, Fruits, Abilities—are minted under the same on-chain collection. This is intentional for:

6.2 Role of Characters

Characters are the core identity of Age of Ascent. Legendary Characters, in particular, are the bottleneck for Godhood and act as the main anchor of prestige for each wallet. Their limited supply means they control how many Gods can exist at any given time.

6.3 Role of Weapons, Fruits, and Abilities

Weapons, Fruits, and Abilities form the three relic lines that complete a God Set:

Because Godhood requires all four types, demand for each line increases as more wallets attempt to complete their sets. The time-based ranking further incentivizes long-term holding once a set is complete.

7. Hall of Ascension

The Hall of Ascension is a publicly visible leaderboard that tracks wallets recognized as Gods and displays their status. It integrates with the on-chain data through the same holder detection logic and highlights:

A simplified example of the data presentation:

Rank Wallet God Time Legendary Fruit Weapon Ability Status
#1 Wallet_xxx... 120 days Legendary #0001 Fruit #001 (God-tire) Weapon #001 (Apex) Ability: Beast Spirit First God
#2 Wallet_yyy... 95 days Legendary #0005 Fruit #003 (God-tire) Weapon #007 (Apex) Ability: Shadow Veil God

The actual Hall of Ascension page uses live on-chain data and updates whenever wallets gain or lose active God status, and as their God Time increases.
